| 内容記述 | Aims: The purpose of this study was to establish the current incidence of congenital anomalies in Ishikawa Prefecture. Methods: A community-based survey was distributed between 2019 and 2021 with the cooperation of obstetrics and gynecology medical institutions in Ishikawa Prefecture. The number of births at participating institutions during the 3 years was 16,492 (71.1% of the entire prefecture). We evaluated the incidence of 35 types of congenital anomalies listed in the Clearing House monitoring system. Results: The total number of children with congenital abnormalities reported during the 3-year period was 359. The most common congenital anomaly was cleft lip with or without cleft palate (15.16/10,000 births), followed by Down syndrome (12.13/10,000), and polydactyly (7.88/10,000). The age distribution of mothers of children with chromosomal abnormalities, trisomy 18, and Down syndrome was older than that of mothers of children with other congenital anomalies. Conclusion: The current incidence of congenital anomalies in Ishikawa Prefecture was determined. |
